This weekend I stopped by one of the prettier corners of Columbia County to shoot a mini session for the Bierbach family. This sweet family of four were the recipients of my spring Facebook giveaway.

We planned 30 minutes in the morning and utilized a nice patch of shade under the bountiful front yard trees. Dad brought out the very photogenic 1950’s International tractor and Fancy the chocolate lab hung out as well. Their firstborn son is the first person I have ever had the chance to spend some time with who has cerebral palsy. Little Billy has the most contagious joyful smile and incredible eyes with lashes for days. I learned that he is able to go to public school. It was an honor to spend a little time with this family. They were all so tender towards one another.

Little Mia was shy at first, but by giving her a little space by swapping out the portrait lens for a longer zoom, she came right out of her shell and was major ham by the end! I wish the Bierbachs the best – it is always nice to find new connections.
