This wedding was day 1 of my first ever wedding double header weekend. It was my great delight to be the second shooter for the organized and genuinely sweet Wendy Zook (who is now based in Maryland). I would love to work with her again anytime, Wendy sets the bar high as far as going and above and beyond to be helpful and kind to the couple that she is hired by.
We started our day at the jaw-dropping Embassy Suites by Hilton in Parsippany and the ceremony and reception took place at Knoll Country Club West. The hotel was incredibly lush with a huge variety of tropical plants, what a cool spot to hang a wedding gown! My job was to go document the groom and his friends getting ready for the wedding while Wendy worked with the ladies.
The florals for this wedding were non-living but amazing – I loved the book pages as leaves on the guy’s boutonnieres ! The country club put up a lavish cocktail hour with great food in the tent near the gazebo ceremony site and the party was rockin’! There was a full lobby of dessert options in addition to the cake and a cigar bar, too.
