This wedding was a stunner. It was my first time second shooting for the wonderful Honesdale based photographer Michelle Lee Photography.
I started out at the Hilton Scranton, with the groom and his groomsmen. We moved down to the hotel bar and soon it was off to the gorgeous church, St Anne’s Basilica, where we were met by a bagpiper. this was my first time working during a Catholic ceremony, and I was pleasantly surprised that we were given free rein to use flash throughout and move around throughout with few restrictions. The Basilica is so beautiful (and there was a columnade on the side we missed shooting at- maybe next time), I was busy capturing the details of the space. I actually really enjoyed being there, it reminded me a bit of large churches in Italy. We took a ride over to the treehouse at Nay Aug Park for some additional bridal party photos. Finally, the night rounded out with drinks, dinner, and dancing at the elegant POSH at the Scranton Club. Plenty of space for everyone, with separate ballrooms for dinner, and the other for cocktail hour and dancing, with dramatic uplighting, and the dance floor was a happening place!
This entire wedding day was a very classy affair and the couple were very kind people. Congratulations Mary Kate and Joseph!
