Steph and Steve were married at private Residence located within the boundary of Ridley Creek State Park near Media, Pennsylvania. It proved a little tricky to locate, but my fantastic second shooter for the day, Glenside-based Holly Curran did figure out where we were– and it was a magical afternoon in late September of 2018.
This was my first time working as the primary shooter and having a second shooter backing me up and I think it was well worth the minor additional cost to have two photographers there for part of the day, to allow us to be in two places at once and capture multiple angles. Brides, I highly reccomend considering having more than one photographer, even if not for the entire day.
The bridesmaids wore blue and the guys donned linen suits which are great for warmer weather. The flowers for the day were sourced from Cut Flower Exchange ( Conshohocken) and arranged by the wedding party and placed in handmade vases on the tables under a big tent (provided by Hess Tent Rentals). The amazing home-cooked food was prepared and served by Adele’s Catering and music was by Go Sound and Lighting. Of course their beloved dog was in attendance for the big day.
Backyard weddings, like this one in my home zone of Delco, PA, have a such a relaxed atmosphere where everyone has pitched in to make the day special. Happy first anniversary, you two!
